Entry into Uganda more difficult – Teamtrip 2020

Due to the current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, Uganda has decided until further notice to place Western European travellers under a two-week quarantine. In many cases, visas are already no longer issued. Of course, this also has consequences for the planning of our team trip to Uganda this year. For the time being, we unfortunately have to put the planning on hold. As soon as the situation changes, we will of course inform you immediately!

Organisation of the team trips

We are very happy that Nadja will take over the planning and organisation of the team trips to Uganda from today. Nadja travelled to Uganda for the first time in 2018 and immediately fell in love with the local children. With her organizational talent she will now support Peace’s Hope in planning the team trips. At nadja@peaceshope.com she will provide you with advice and assistance.

Special project: Vaccination campaign

The children in Uganda are regularly infected with diseases and need medical care. In order to remedy this, we would like to vaccinate all children against the most common diseases: mumps, measles, rubella, hepatitis B, typhoid fever and yellow fever. For this purpose we have created a special project, which you can find under this link.

Sponsorship

From the new year 2020, Peace’s Hope offers you to sponsor the children of the Sonrise Ministries. Many of our donors build a bond with the children over time, especially if they have already visited Uganda as part of our team. A lot of them wished to personally support these children, to finance their schooling or clothing directly. For this reason, we have decided to make this possible. Read more at this link!

Thank you – Christmas Project 2019

We would like to thank all supporters of this year’s Christmas project! With your help we were able to give Christmas presents to all Sonrise children, as well as to the children of the caregivers. In addition, some money could be used to buy some items of urgent need for each house. The money from the big pot will be used for Christmas presents for the caregivers and Sonrise staff, as well as for the families in Masese. In the name of the Peace’s Hope Team, the Sonrise Ministries Team and all the children a big THANK YOU!

Christmas Gifts for the Sonrise Ministries 2019

Many thanks to all our supporters! The project goal for 2019 has been reached 🙂   We would like to give the children and caregivers at Sonrise Ministries and the families in Masese – a slum area in Jinja – individual presents to decorate Christmas. With 20 Euro for a certain child or a freely selectable amount for the “big pot” we can buy educational toys, clothes, hygiene articles and food on the spot and thus prepare an unforgettable Christmas for everyone. As in the previous year, you can continue to choose a child directly. The amount per child is still 20 Euro. Also the “big pot” is again from the part. In this pot one may pay any amount, if one does not want to decide for a child. At the end of the project we divide this amount between the children without direct donors, the carers of SonriseWeiterlesen / Continue reading
