The construction of the Nursery School in Kamuli continues to progress. Thanks to a large donation, the building is fully financed and will now be erected quickly.
We welcome two new additions to the Mirembe Cottage of Street Girls. The two sisters Benita and Betty were taken into care after they were seriously injured. Sonrise is supporting them in their physical and mental recovery and the girls of Mirembe Cottage are preparing a great home for them! The girls are still looking for sponsors. You can always write to Nadja at firstname.lastname@example.org about sponsorships.
These days we received the wonderful news that all six planned residential buildings on the site of the new Baby Home have been financed. The construction of the first houses has also already started. The focus of our support for the Baby Home project is therefore shifting to other important buildings on the site, including a protective wall and solar panels for self-sufficient electricity use.
Nadja will take care of the sponsors in the future, so that they will receive regular updates from their children in Uganda. In addition, she will take over further administrative tasks for the association and thus support us strongly. You can write to Nadja at any time at email@example.com on the subject of sponsorships. Thank you for your commitment Nadja!
For a long time the donation project “water well” has been running and finally the construction could be started. With the purchase of a plot of land in Jinja and the construction of the new Baby Home, the water supply can now be secured by building a groundwater well. Many thanks to all donors who supported the project!
On Friday, September 11, 2020 we broke an impressive mark. With the last bank transfer more than 100,000€ have gone to the Sonrise Ministries in Uganda since the foundation of Peace’s Hope e. V. WOW! Many thanks to all our supporters! Many of you were already involved in the years before the foundation of the association and have strongly supported Gabi, so that already in the period from 2014 – 2017 another 85,000€ flowed into our heart project. This is a great sign and we are very happy and happy about all those who share our love for the children. THANK YOU!
From now on we have integrated a donation button on our Facebook page. With this button it is very easy to start a donation call for a specific action to collect donations in a simple and bundled way over a certain period of time. Facebook will then transfer the achieved amount to us as an association without further costs.
The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic continues to keep us in suspense. In Uganda, inbound travellers from Western Europe are still subject to a two-week quarantine. Moreover, the situation in the country itself is difficult to assess. For these reasons we have decided with a heavy heart to suspend this year’s team trip for security reasons.
