Today we celebrate our second anniversary! On 19 July 2017 Peace’s Hope was founded as an official association. Since then we could realize many projects thanks to your help. We would like to thank you very much for that! We are looking forward to the coming years, in which we want to grow and implement new great projects in Uganda.

Update about Michael
Today we received the news that Michael’s stay at the Babies Home has to be extended until the end of the year. Due to the severe malnutrition he suffered during his first year of life, his immune system is very unstable. The living conditions in Masese are therefore still too dangerous. In agreement with the parents, who are trying very hard to maintain a stable relationship with their son, Michael will remain at the Sonrise Babies Home until the end of the year. There they will work intensively on building up a stable immune system with the help of special food and vitamins. This will double our project goal to a total of 2,800 euros. New Secretary
At our last General Assembly on 08 May 2019, Guadalupe was elected Secretary of Peace’s Hope. She is a founding member and supports the association from the beginning with full force! Silvana, who had held the office until then, unfortunately had to resign for private reasons. Thank you Silvana for supporting us so actively as secretary since the foundation of the association!
New Social-Media-Representative
As you may have noticed, you’ll find new posts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter every week since the beginning of the year. We want to give you a better insight into our work with the children of Sonrise Ministries. Sarah, our social media representative, regularly provides you with news and information about the association. She will also take over the newsletter in the future by keeping you informed about the latest activities and projects.

Diary Team-trip 2017/2018
From 13 December 2017 to 10 January 2018 we will be back in Uganda. At this point, we would like to report to you on a daily basis what we have done and how we have used your donations. Have fun reading. 10.01.2018 In the middle of the night we drive to the airport. At 5 a.m. our first flight to Istanbul starts before continuing to Düsseldorf. We hope that our luggage will not end up in Istanbul this time. Since we have a four-hour stopover, we’ll sit down in a café. We can hardly believe when suddenly a friend of Bea, Mati and Helder shows up there and he will even travel back with us. In the plane we meet another friend. Coincidences happens 😀 Arrived in Düsseldorf the fear begins, whether the suitcases are there this time. It takes a long time until the first suitcase isWeiterlesen / Continue reading
Toothbrush donation from Humble
It was a great pleasure that we unpacked the packages from Humble. Humble donated 700 toothbrushes to our health campaign in Uganda. Humble produces toothbrushes from bamboo. On the one hand to reduce the use of plastic and on the other hand because bamboo is an extremely sustainable product. Easy and fast regrowing. We are excited about the idea and quality of the products and are looking forward to distributing the toothbrushes to many children and adults in Uganda as part of a toothbrush training course.
New residents at Mirembe Cottage of Street Girls
Since the beginning of November 2017 Gloria (left), 9 years old, lives in the Mirembe Cottage of Street Girls and since the beginning of December Angel (right), 11 years old. Thanks to spontaneous donations, we were able to consider both of them for the Christmas gift campaign.
Parcels sent
After sending 13 parcels to Uganda in August, we now managed to send 4 more parcels. Kind donors made this happen. On the 18th November 6 keen helpers (Nina Jungholt, Nina Fitschen, Sameh Fares, Hadeel Khallouf, Gabi Haak and Silvana Pölitz) met to pack these parcels. We are not only sending clothes and shoes but also toys and other useful items. In December eight travelers will start their trip to the Sonrise Ministries. This year the program has a clear focus: the health care campaign. In the last weeks we collected tooth paste, brushes and reading glasses that we will distribute in Uganda. These items will also travel the long haul – in the travelers’ personal luggage. We fitted 1000 tooth pastes, 536 tooth brushes for children, 161 tooth brushes for adults and 800 reading glasses in 7 suitcases (each 23 kg). It wasn’t an easy taskWeiterlesen / Continue reading
