🏥 It’s Happening – Construction of the Clinic in Wakikoola Has Begun! 💜
We’re thrilled to share the news that construction of the small clinic in Wakikoola has officially started! The approval process took a long time – especially due to delays caused by the upcoming elections – but now the permit is in place, and the work can begin.
Today, the land is being leveled, and tomorrow the foundation will be excavated. This marks a major milestone for a region that currently has no access to medical care. This small clinic will be life-changing for many people.
As excited as we are, we’re still facing a significant funding gap. So far, we’ve only been able to raise about half of the required funds.

🎄 Christmas Joy All Year Round – Our “Big Pot” Project Is Now Running Year-Round 💜
What began as a small gesture has grown into a heartfelt initiative with a big impact: Our Christmas gift project “Big Pot” continues to grow – just like the number of wonderful people who lovingly care for our children every day.
Whether directors, managers, teachers, cooks, cleaners, farmers, security staff or caregivers – they all do incredible work. And with every new helping hand, it becomes more challenging to raise enough funds for a small Christmas thank-you.
That’s why we’ve decided: The “Big Pot” project will now run year-round. This allows us to plan better and ensure that every person who supports our children receives the appreciation they deserve.
One especially touching part: The families of our girls from Mirembe Cottage, who live in Masese – a slum area in Jinja – also receive lovingly prepared Christmas packages. These include items that many can hardly afford: rice, sugar, salt, tea, spices, bread, butter, and other treats. And when we’re able to add a live chicken, the joy is immeasurable – as this is a very special gift in Uganda.
💜 With your support, we can continue to fill this “pot” – bringing smiles, meaningful moments, and heartfelt gratitude.

🎉 8 Years of Peaces Hope e.V. – United for Hope and Change 💜
What once began as a vision has grown into a vibrant community of 85 dedicated members – united by one goal: creating a more hopeful future for children in Uganda.
Together, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones over the past eight years:
✅ Over €360,000 in donations have reached Uganda directly – with no deductions.
✅ More than 100% of donations go into the projects – as surplus membership fees are also reinvested.
✅ 100% focus on sustainable, long-term projects that make a real impact locally.
✅ 7 team trips have brought 74 volunteers to Uganda – offering hands-on support and meaningful encounters with our children.
💜 A heartfelt thank you to all donors, volunteers, and partners! Your support makes real change possible – and means the world to us.

Looking Back at Our Annual General Meeting – Our Projects for 2025 Are Set!
On July 2, 2025, we held our annual general meeting. Together, we set the course for the year ahead and defined our key priorities. We’re excited to share the planned projects with you:
🏥 Sonrise Baby Home – Supporting the construction of a clinic in Wabirongo to sustainably improve healthcare for mothers and children.
📚 Sonrise Children’s Home – Assisting with the purchase of land in Kamuli for a secondary school, opening up new educational opportunities for the children.
🏥 Mirembe Cottage – Promoting the construction of a small clinic in Wakikoola to strengthen local healthcare services.
🌱 Agricultural Development – Expanding and enhancing the farms at all three homes to ensure food security and foster self-sufficiency.
💊 Medical Supplies – Providing urgently needed medical resources for all three homes.
