From now on we also offer sponsorships for the Sonrise Baby Home as well as for the children of the Sonrise Children’s Home and the girls of the Mirembe Cottage. In future, donations can only be made to the Baby Home in general, with one exception for babies who have been reunited with their families. The background to this is that the costs for new arrivals are often very high. They are usually malnourished, ill and initially require very intensive treatment, which is associated with high costs. However, as soon as the babies move to the Children’s Home, the sponsors also disappear. As a result, the Baby Home in particular repeatedly has problems meeting its running costs. For the Children’s Home and the Mirembe Cottage, sponsorship can still be chosen for a specific child or girl. A freely chosen monthly amount can be donated for the Baby Home.
