Often we receive open donations that don’t have a particular purpose so we decided to create a project folder for these kind contributions. We will use these donations depending on the acute needs that we see and where the money is needed most. This can be for one of the construction projects, for medicine, food or also for quick help locally. For this project the amount of donations collected by Peace’s Hope e.V. has reached 23.44 Euro Already invested as an association locally: 37,380.46 Euro If you want to contribute to this project please fill in our donation form.

Construction Sonrise Baby Home
In December 2021, our babies could finally move into their new home in Wabirongo. The new complex consists of six residential houses and an office/warehouse building. They have a beautiful view to the river Nile. All houses were equipped with solar panels and connected directly to the newly built water well. For the people in the surrounding communities, we had an outside access to the well laid in December 2021. The gratefulness of the people for the clean drinking water is unbelievable. However, the demand is many times higher than a single well can meet. We are therefore all the happier that we were able to build and commission a second well in May 2024. Now we can concentrate fully on our latest and largest project. The construction of a small clinic for our babies and the surrounding communities with a focus on obstetrics and HIV care. Special project for Michael – Project goal achieved
Many thanks to all donors. We have achieved the project goal to care for and the recovery of Michael. We can’t tell you how happy we are about it 🙂 During our last stay in Uganda we were approached by a mother in Masese – a slum area in Jinja. She gave us her one-year-old baby Michael and asked us for help. Michael is severely malnourished and also has a large painful ulcer in the genital area. The later examination in the hospital has shown that he urgently needs an operation. In order to survive, he must first reach a normal weight. He currently weighs less than 5 kilograms. Michael’s mother herself has too little to eat to produce enough breast milk for the child. In consultation with the mother and father, Michael will be taken care of by our dear Auntie Peace at the Sonrise Babies Home forWeiterlesen / Continue reading
Donors for all children Christmas presents
It is with great pleasure that we can report today that we have found a sponsor for the Christmas present for all children. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. That is so great. And also the big pot has already filled well. With this we can prepare a Merry Christmas for the caregivers of the Sonrise Ministries as well as for the families in Masese. We can hardly wait to report in our diary, how the money was invested and how everyone was happy about it. Please use the following link to join us on our journey: Team trip 2018 If you like, you can still donate for the big pot. All further information about the project can be found under the following link: Christmas Presents
Suitcases filled with commodity items
In preparation for our trip to Uganda we packed today suitcases with donated commodity items. Toothbrushes, cosmetics, baby bottles, torches, bandages and much more were divided over 8 suitcases. Many thanks to all donors for the wonderful donations that are so urgently needed locally.
Christmas presents 2018
Finally the Christmas Gift project 2018 has started. If you would also like to give a Christmas present to a child in one of the three Sonrise Ministries houses, a child of the caregivers, the caregivers themselves or the families in Masese this year, then click on the following link and you will be forwarded directly to the project page. There are some new features compared to last year. So we have set up a “big pot” for those who don’t want to decide for a certain child. All further information about the project and the changes can be found under the following link: Christmas presents
Parcels arrived
All four packages arrived safely in Uganda, which we packed in August and shipped in September. The children and caregivers of the Sonrise Ministries were excited about all the nice things that we could send there thanks to your donations. Unfortunately with a little melancholy, since this was probably the last parcel shipment in this form. The East African Community (EAC) has decided to impose high customs duties on the import of donations in kind in order to protect their domestic markets. We can therefore only take small amounts of commodity items with us in our suitcases when travelling to the destination country. What we are looking for, you will find in our project commodity items. Once again, many thanks to all of you who in the past have always provided us with such beautiful commodity items and financed the shipping of our parcels. Without you this would not have been possible.
Christmas presents Sonrise Ministries 2018
We would like to give the children and caregivers at Sonrise Ministries and the families in Masese – a slum area in Jinja – individual presents to brighten up their Christmas. With 20 Euro for a certain child or a freely selectable amount for the “big pot” we can buy educational toys, clothes, hygiene articles and food locally and thus prepare an unforgettable Christmas for everyone. We have changed the project a little bit. Of course you can continue to choose a child directly. The amount per child is still 20 Euro. However, the “big pot” is new. You may pay any amount into this pot, if you do not want to decide for a specific child. At the end of the project we then divide this amount between the children without direct donors, the caregivers of Sonrise Ministries and the families of Masese. Thanks to everyone who donated so many beautiful things! Thanks to everyone who financed the shipping with donations! And of course thanks to all the wonderful helpers! Here are some photos of unpacking the packages and the great joy the donations created. You may even discover some of what you have donated in the pictures.
